Why should Christians pray? (2 Chronicles 7:13-14)

If God has already determined and decided everything, if it’s always His will that is done, why should we Christians pray? What difference does prayer make? What does prayer do? Why pray? Does God hear our prayers? Does He answer them? If He answers our prayers, then is He not doing something we want Him to do, as opposed to something He decided to do?

In this short video, I attempt to answer some of these questions by focusing on 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.

When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
