I made a few attempts to use the pool cleaner to rescue the little one, doing by best to make sure that I wouldn’t hurt him/her in the process. Unfortunately, my attempts to rescue the little rascal in this manner were quite unsuccessful as every time I came close to scooping him/her out, he/she would swim away! Obviously, for I could not be trusted!
I realized that the best way to rescue this little one was to just make a way for him/her to get out, which is precisely what I did! I angled the pool cleaner in such a way that it formed a ladder of sorts!
Rather than rushing to the “ladder”, the little one swam around a bit longer and eventually came around to trusting my makeshift ladder and escaping!
Jesus knows that people are lost and need Him! So, He came down to die for us and making the Way for us to be rescued! Just like I placed a make shift ladder to rescue this little duckling, God made the Way for us by sending Jesus to the Cross. Jesus, the Cross, is our way out and God has placed it for us to be rescued from sin and death!
Why don’t you trust God today and grab hold of Christ on the Cross and be rescued?

“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:22)
“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?” (Ezekiel 18:23)
Jesus/God is waiting for you.
