When I look back, there were many stages in my life where I wish I had a mentor who walked beside me (not ahead of me), talked to me (not at me), listened to me (not just hear me), gave me advice (not lecture me), someone who could tell me what I needed to hear, correct me when I was wrong, encourage me when I was feeling down, challenge me to rise up and motivate me to keep going when things looked bleak.
This is the person I want to be for the many out there who are longing for someone to come alongside them and help them travel this journey that is life.
If you are wondering what my professional qualifications (a degree from a recognised university) are, I have none in this area. If that’s a deal breaker for you, I understand. No hard feelings. I pray you will get the help and support you need.

First and foremost, I am a Christian and therefore, as a follower of Jesus, I rely on Him, His teaching/commands and His Word (yes, the BIble) to help me live my own life and help others. Therefore, I want you to know that if you are looking for “power of positivity” or “positive thinking” kind of stuff, you might as well leave now because I don’t believe in it, nor do I think it works.
Secondly, if you are wanting me as a mentor, you should be prepared to commit to that relationship with me. If you are half-hearted about it or have doubts and questions, then share with me what’s on your heart and what your concerns are so that I can do my best to help you. There’s no question that’s too stupid or offensive, unless of course, you are purposely trying to be stupid and/or offensive.
Finally, I am not in this to get rich but nor do I want to spend all my time and energy on people who take me for granted and don’t have an appreciation for what I am doing, especially since every minute I spend with you is time away from my family, business, church and other personal commitments. I believe God has blessed me with the gifts and abilities to bless others and therefore, I don’t feel right about charging anyone for being their mentor. However, if you insist on blessing my family and I financially, I will not stop you from doing so and we are grateful to all who are generous towards us.
