I know where I'm going when I die. How about you?

Most people go about their day without any thought about their mortality. In fact, the majority of people have an expectation that they’ll go to bed tonight and will wake up tomorrow, to live another day. They don’t just have this expectation for themselves, but for all whom they love and care about.

What about you? Are you one of these people I described above?

How do you know that you will be alive tomorrow? How about a minute from now? Can you state with 100% certainty that you’ll be alive at any given point of time in the future?

No, you cannot. There is absolutely no way that you can be certain of how long you have to live and when you will die.

[box]Body & Soul[/box]

We human beings are more than just our physical bodies, are we not?

We are made up of the tangible and the intangible.

If our skin, flesh, blood and bones make up our body, the tangible portion, then our thoughts, memories and emotions make up our soul, the intangible portion.

Do you agree?

Our physical body can be alive and functioning, but without our soul, we are nothing.

I don’t believe that there is a single person who could argue otherwise.

When we die, our physical bodies can be burned or buried, but what about our soul, which makes up a significant part of who we are?

What becomes of the intangible us? Does our soul just vanish into nothingness?

Have you ever wondered?

[box]Heaven or…[/box]

By faith, I believe in Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross, His resurrection, that He is the Son of God, the Saviour of the world.

By faith, I believe that because of what Jesus has done and because I have placed my trust and faith in Him, I will go to heaven when I die.

According to the Bible, Jesus died on the cross, but was raised to life on the third day! In His appearance, He was the same, but He had a glorified body.

In the same way, I too believe that God will bless me with a glorified body when I die, so that where He is, there I will be!

One day, I will be with God in heaven! And by faith, I believe it to be true for all who call Jesus, Saviour and Lord.

I am 100% sure of this, not because of who I am or what I did or the kind of life I lived or the person I think I am.

I know that I cannot enter heaven on my own merits.

How about you?

What do you believe is going to happen to you when you die?

Do you go about your life thinking you will go to heaven because you are a “good person”, because you do “good things” and because you’re not really a bad person?

Do you honestly think that God is going to judge you based on your standards?

God is perfect and according to His standards, all of humanity have failed God.

Many of you might be thinking “how have I failed God?”.

If you ever lied or cheated or got angry at someone or thought evil of someone, then, you have failed God.

According to the Bible,

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

This is why Jesus had to come down and die in our place.

Why?

Well, the Bible also says that

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

This is what I believe. Jesus is my blessed assurance.

Again I ask, how about you?

If you were to die today, can you say with 100% certainty that you will go to heaven?

[box]It’s not too late…[/box]

All we have for certain is now, not a minute from now, let alone tomorrow.

I know that if I were to die today, I’ll be in heaven, with Jesus, who is God. I’m 100% certain, not because I’m a “good person” who lived a “good life”. I know I’m going to heaven, ONLY because of Jesus.

Can you say the same about your eternal destination?

You too can choose to place your trust and faith in Jesus Christ and have the same assurance as I do.

The Bible says that

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

Jesus said,

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

The Bible also says this about Jesus.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

I pray you will not shun Jesus.

I pray that today, you will set aside your pride, humble yourself, and ask God to reveal Jesus to you.

I pray that today, you will receive Jesus Christ into your life and be saved.

We may not meet face to face here on Earth, but if you have placed your trust and faith in Jesus Christ, I WILL see you in heaven 🙂
