My contract at the university hasn’t been renewed. We were hoping to find a home when our rental lease ended, but we have made ZERO progress. My back has been hurting a lot more in recent months and its become worse in the past few weeks. One might say that things are not looking good for my family and I 😥.
In the Bible, in the book of Job (I encourage you to read it if you’d like to meet a man who is no stranger to suffering), after God incites the devil to test Job, and he ends up losing all his possessions and all his children, this is the best his wife could come up:
Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. — Job 2:9-10
Because of Jesus, I am confident the LORD is absolutely in control of everything. Just as He was in charge of Job’s life, so He is in charge of my family and I 😃!
