Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” — Genesis 1:26
For the Christian, our identity and worth is tied to this incredible truth in the Scriptures — God made us! We are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14), not a random product of chance. God has a plan and purpose for us (Jeremiah 29:11), we are not aimless. If this wasn’t enough, in Christ, our sins are forgiven, and we have His peace (John 14:27) — whether we are dealing with everyday challenges or a global pandemic.
