Brisbane Meetup focused on creating Windows Phone & Windows 8 apps!

This one’s for those living in Brisbane.

If you are interested in designing/developing apps for Windows Phone and/or Windows 8, Dream. Design. Develop. Deliver. was started with you in mind.

I will be honest and upfront: though we have a handful of members who have joined the group, it’s been a while since we’ve actually met up!

I take all the blame for this, though I have a really good excuse (my wife Amanda and I welcomed our son Judah into the world 6 months ago!).

Excuses aside, I am wanting to see the group come alive and do some amazing things!

Windows Phone is slowly but certainly growing in popularity and now that Windows 8.1 is out, it would be silly not to create apps for both these platforms.

My hope for the meetup is that it will help bring together passionate people with varying talents, who can then work together to create awesome apps and help each other out.

If we do it right, it’s a win-win situation for all.

And, we don’t have to do it alone.

I am certain that Luke Swetman, who has taken over the MIC QLD reigns from the amazing Emily Easterby (who is sadly leaving Brisbane and moving to NZ), will be more than happy to help us in all our endeavors. Of course, I haven’t necessarily passed this statement by him, but I am sure he won’t mind 😉
